The MMC-SD-2.0-230 is an MMC single phase smart drive from Kollmorgen. It is an analog type smart drive that receives motion commands through a +/- 10 Volts analog with standard width. This unit has a nominal input current of 18 Amperes at an input voltage of 120 VAC and 230 VAC. It has a power rating of 2 kW.

The unit features a 230 Volts optional line filter, a continuous current of 10 Amperes and a maximum current of 30 Amperes. The continuous current rating of the line filter is valid at 50 degrees C, and its operating frequency is 50 Hz. The overload current of the line filter suitable for use with the MMC-SD-2.0-230 is rated at 150 % per minute & 200 % per second, and it operates efficiently within an allowable temperature range of -25 degrees C to 95 degrees C. The leakage current of this single phase lie filter is 46 mA at 240 Volts and 50 Hz.

The dynamic shunt resistor module on the MMC-SD-2.0-230 helps to avoid excessive Bus overvoltage faults and has a resistance of 100 ohms, rated power of 300 Watts and a voltage rating of 600 Volts. By design, the MMC-SD-2.0-230 smart drive leverages solid-state motor overload protection, as per UL 508C. When storing this drive, a clean and dry location must be used, and humidity and storage temperatures must be maintained as described in the manufacturer’s documentation. As a safety measure, the control system of the MMC-SD-2.0-230 must only be operated by trained and certified personnel to prevent the occurrence of hazardous uncertainties. Also, this smart drive may not be used outside the manufacturer’s specifications.
