The AKM series of synchronous servo motors by Kollmorgen is characterized by extremely low cogging and smooth performance with very low harmonic distortion. The AKM52M-ACC22-00 has a flange size of 108mm with a rotor length of 2. This servo motor has a standstill torque of 8.60 Nm with a peak torque of 21.9Nm. The AKM52M-ACC22-00 has an M-type winding, with IEC flange combined with keyway shaft. The standstill current for AKM52M-ACC22-00 is 13.1A with a peak operation current of 21.9A. This servo motor has 0.5m shielded cables with an IP65 rated angular rotatable connectors.

The IP65 rating allows this servo motor to be safely used in locations that are exposed to dirt and moisture. This servo motors also features a spring applied holding brake of 24V. When the holding brakes are de-energized, they block the rotor. However, it must be noted, that these brakes are designed as standstill brakes and are not suited for repeated operational brakes.
