The VLT3006 is a Danfoss drive that falls under the VTL series. The VTL drives are globally accepted for their adaptability, ease of use, and lightweight design. Coming in different voltage specifications, the drive is ideal for a wide array of factory applications. Like most drives, the Danfoss drive is engineered for vertical installation. Should you require to install multiple drives at a go, you should use flanges to separate them. A distance of at least 3.9 inches should be left between the mounting surface and the drive. The VLT3006 control signal cables are prone to radio frequency interference. They should, therefore, be shielded to avoid signal disturbance which leads to intermittent operation. Shielding of the cables also ensures that you comply with the VDE0875 specifications. If there is a change of software or parameters, initialization is achievable. You can do it through parameter 604 or manual initialization. Parameter 604 does not restore all parameters such as field bus parameters 820 and 904.
This Danfoss drive is manufactured for a 3 phase AC power input ranging from 200V to 500V. The voltage affects specifications such as motor sizes, Amps, constant load, and many more. Motor size ranges of the VLT3006 is 7.5HP across all voltages while the constant input load ranges from 8.2A to 17.5A. Derating is paramount for height above 1000 meters and 40 degrees for maximum operation. After disconnecting the AC line, wait for at least 14 minutes before touching any electrical part to avoid injury.
