The TMB1.1-020-W1 will remove excess energy from the bus and will dissipate this extra energy as heat. Within the bleeder module, there is a resistor and a chopper. While the motor is performing a braking process the inverter goes into a regenerative mode. At this point, the voltage of the bus rises to a threshold voltage. This is when the chopper engages and bleeds the excess energy via means of the resistor.
