The PSI6300.155-L1 is an inverter system that has been designed to operate in conjunction with the PSG-3000 transformer. Together these systems are used for medium frequency, direct current welding operations. The inverter comes with an air-cooled design. It has a fan cowl that is used for constant heat dissipation. The inverter operates at a higher operating frequency. It reduces the load on the welding transformer. As a result, the iron content and volume required for welding is reduced but the welding quality is not compromised. The PSI6300.155-L1 prolongs the electrode life. With its constant supply of medium frequency current, the system enhances the ‘good’ welding range. Welding splashes are considerably reduced and the quality of the welding spot is considerably improved. The inverter has a thermostatic switch that signals overload on the PSG-3000 transformer.

The PSI6300.155-L1 comes with an integrated control facility. Parallel, Serial, and Fieldbus interfaces are supported by the system. Different system components are properly integrated so minimum additional cabling is required during installation. A BOS-5000 operator interface has been built in the system. It facilitates machine operators during operation and programming. The device comes with its own weld timer in its CPU. It has additional slots for installing an I/O interface, a Fieldbus module, and a quality module. The PSI6300.155-L1 has a current output of 800 A. It operates on 400 V..480 V line voltage. To avoid any damage due to overvoltage, an MOV (metal oxide varistor) has been integrated with the system. The device weighs around 20 kg and can be installed in a vertical mounting position.
