Taking one step ahead, the group has launched the latest firmware to add visual motion control capability to existing controllers, such as PPC-R22.1N-N-Q1-P1-NN-FW. The PPC-R22.1N-N-Q1-P1-NN-FW belongs to the PPC-R motion controller series by Rexroth Indramat GmbH. This motion controller represents version one of the 22^nd series of PPC-R modular controllers.

The PPC-R22.1N-N-Q1-P1-NN-FW motion and logic controller offers some noteworthy features such as cross communication support and profibus master interface support. Although, the PPC-R22.1N-N-Q1-P1-NN-FW controller comes without Ethernet, it can be equipped with GPP10 to meet the visual motion control requirements. The controller features Q1 which is a link ring cross communication. In normal PPC-R22.1 system without Ethernet, this feature is not available because the expansion slots U2, U3, and U4 are covered. The PPC-R22.1N-N-Q1-P1-NN-FW controller offers DAQ03 link ring in U2 expansion slot for smooth link building between the serial interface and the firmware attached to it. Similarly, the DPM01 Card is available on the U3 expansion slot of the PPC-R22.1N-N-Q1-P1-NN-FW controller for supporting Profibus Master interface.

This controller can be equipped with GPP10 firmware (stored in the PFM memory card), Bootloader firmware (stored in Onboard flash), and Profibus master firmware (stored in DPM01 card) to be able to operate as a visual motion controller. Apart from the new features, the PPC-R22.1N-N-Q1-P1-NN-FW motion controller has all the basic features, like standard serial Indramat interface (SIS), the Sercos interface support, X15 BT bus for connecting other PLC devices, and X16 programming interface.
