The KDV 2.1-100-220-300-V1-220 is a power supply unit designed by Rexroth. The drive package is used for fulfilling the power requirements of 24 kW output servo drives and mains. The power supply’s output can be adjusted according to specific applications. For output adjustment, capacitance modules, commutation chokes, and transformers can be used with the system. The device is able to supply power to electronic circuitry even when a power failure occurs. The DC bus is used to fulfill the power supply requirements in this case. The heat sink is at the rear end of the device and is installed in the back panel of the enclosure. This arrangement ensures that heat losses in the enclosure are minimized to as low as 20%. The device has also been equipped with a soft start feature. Because of this feature, high inrush current is controlled and the need to install separate oversized protection devices is removed. Simple circuit breakers and slow blow fuses are enough to protect the line connections. When a power failure occurs, the drives can be brought to a gradual halt with the power supply unit.
