The ANAX series features two types of servo drive modules that support MAC servo motor system: the TDM and KDS drive modules. These servo drive modules are installed inside the control cabinet with secure connections leading to the control unit as well as the connected devices (MAC servo motors). The KDS 1.1-030-300-W0-115 servo drive module is the first version of the KDS series. The ANAX servo drive module by Indramat features 30 amperes of current and has a rated voltage of 300 VDC. 
Considering the complex circuitry and links it supports, the servo drive module still has a very low power dissipation, which is why it doesn’t need a fan for cooling. The KDS 1.1-030-300-W0-115 module features cold-running technology and is suitable for MAC90 and MAC160 servomotors. The servo drive module is designed, similar to the external heat exchanger, therefore, there is minimal heat dissipation inside the control cabinet. In fact, the servo drive module consumes 9 kW of power looses just 190 watts in process. 60 watts of power is lost inside the cabinet, while 130-watt of power loss is external. The KDS 1.1-030-300-W0-115 module has sufficient natural convection available to cool down the internal components. The ANAX module gives an option to mount a 115V fan to provide extra cooling.
