The HZF01.1-W045 is used in the Indramat AC drive systems. The drive systems are designed for advanced motion control applications. The HVR and HVE power supply units are used for rectification and regenerative operations. The HZF01.1-W045 is a combining filter that is used in conjunction with the HVR supply module. The HVR units supply a regulated DC bus voltage. Furthermore, the HVR units rectify the 3-phase AC voltage. The HZF01.1-W045 combining filter is used to prevent current leakage and suppress interference. Line capacitance often becomes a cause of leakage current that causes data errors, shutdowns, and unintended operations. The combining filter is used to suppress interference signals produced by mechanical and electrical switching. The filter also ensures that interference values are within the EMC limits.

The HZF01.1-W045 should be used in a 5 ᵒC to 45 ᵒC temperature range. The filter has been designed in accordance with the IP 10 protection standards. In its standard configuration, the system should not be used in areas that have an elevation higher than 1000 m above sea level. The filter can be installed above 2000 m above sea level when coupled with an overvoltage limiter. The HZF01.1-W045 requires 45 kW nominal power. The filter’s vibration altitude has been restricted to 0.15 mm for frequencies between 10 Hz and 57 Hz. The device operates on 80 A input current. This model can be installed in small and medium-sized control cabinets because of its compact dimensions (175 mm width, 262 mm length, and 498 mm depth). The device maintains an optimum temperature even after continuous use and excess heat is removed through the forced convection method.
