The braking resistor is a crucial accessory in any industrial machine, and  Indramat has designed the HLR01.1N-36K0-N05R4-A-007-NNNN specifically for Indramat devices. The HLR01.1N-36K0-N05R4-A-007-NNNN braking resistor helps to decelerate Indramat servo motors by consuming the excess amount of energy, which is returned into the power circuit of the drive controller and converting this electrical energy into heat energy, which less harmful and can be easily controlled by the servo controller. To operate the HLR01.1N-36K0-N05R4-A-007-NNNN braking resistor, a brake chopper must be installed to control voltage, which the motor feeds energy back to the intermediate power circuit. The brake resistor activities help extend the service life of the drive controller by protecting it from electrical damage.
