Product Description

The HLR01.1N-12K5-N05R5-A-007-NNNN model is used to convert the generated kinetic energy into thermal energy. The brake resistors are extensively used with converters to overcome the high voltage flow and it is connected with a 2 AWG gauge copper wire to operate at DC 700V. The brake resistor will provide the brake resistance of 6 Ohm by dissipating the continuous power of 12.5 kW and peak power of 109 kW during the cycle time of 120 seconds. The model is protected against solid particles with a diameter greater than 12.5 mm due to its IP 20 protection class but it will not provide any resistance against liquids. The model can operate ideally at the maximum altitude of 1000 meters above sea level and it can be installed right above the converter with an appropriate spacing of 300 mm at the bottom of the device and 1000 mm at the top of the device.

The model HLR01.1N-12K5-N05R5-A-007-NNNN absorbs the regenerated power of 900 kWs for the maximum time of 8.3 seconds. The total weight of the brake resistor is 33 kg with the allowable tightening torque of 6 Nm during installation. The model doesn’t have any capacity for volumetric cooling because it uses ambient air for cooling purposes through natural convection.
