The HLC01.2C-01M0-A-007-NNNN capacity module offered by Bosch Rexroth is one of the various such modules in the HLC product group. This module helps to enhance the energy balance of those applications that feature rapid succession machining cycles. The product functions as temporary power storage when it has a DC bus connection. The device can be used in combination with the manufacturer’s IndraDrive C and IndraDrive M range of drive controllers. It must be installed inside a control cabinet adjacent to the drive controller. If multiple drive controllers are used, the module must be fitted next to the controller that is equipped with the maximum DC bus continuous power.

The capacity module comes with the ability to generate a controlled retraction motion when there is a power failure. This is possible because of its stored energy. The product features two terminals for the DC bus connection. The control voltage supply connection is done at the front of the associated drive using M6 screws and contact rails. The unit supports a line code of 1 and a design code of 2.It has a nominal capacitance of 1mF. The installation of the device must be done with a clearance at the bottom for optimum cooling as well as airflow. The HLC01.2C-01M0-A-007-NNNN module has a one-year warranty.
