The HDS04.2-W200N-HS68-01-FW is a drive control system that can be employed for motion control and automation tasks in various industrial sectors. This device comes with an inbuilt motor temperature monitoring function that prevents overtemperature faults in the connected motors. This drive controller can be used in various industrial sectors. It is mainly used in machine tools, printing machines, paper manufacturing/processing machines, mounting equipment, handling systems, material packaging systems, and food processing systems. This model comes with the Sercos interface which is an internationally recognized communication interface used for high speed communication. The drive controller has a module based design and can be attached with additional modules if specific applications are required that are not supported by the standard version. It is possible to connect the multiturn absolute encoders with this system if the DAG01.2M optional card is used with this system.

The HDS04.2-W200N-HS68-01-FW comes with R485 and RS232 interface ports. The RS485 interface can be used for start-up diagnostics, programming, and parameterization. The interface makes it possible to transmit signals as far as 500 meters away. It also enables extremely fast transmission rates (9600/19200 baud). It is also possible to use a PC supported visualization unit when the RS485 interface is used. The drive controller is also equipped with state of the art starting lockout technology. It can lock individual drive axis from starting accidentally. Normally a separate mains contactor is required for this purpose. The drive controller can independently perform the function of the mains contactor. This HDS drive controller can be provided appropriate power and signals using the HVE and HVR supply modules.
