HDS04.2-W200N-HA40-01-FW is an industrial grade, pre-configured, HDS type, 2nd generation drive controller from Rexroth Indramat. With this model, you will get three preloaded add-on modules; DAG 01.2M, DEA 04.2M, and DEA 08.2M. The DEA 08.2 M add-on module comes with 32 x universal digital inputs and 24 x universal digital outputs. The DEA 04.2M add-on module brings the functionality of a comprehensive positioning interface. Whereas, a DAG 01.2M is required for communication between the controller and a motor with EnDat encoder. Moreover, the DAG 01.2M can also be used to connect the drive controller to various kinds of external measurement systems.

The HDS04.2-W200N-HA40-01-FW is offered with a pre-configured HSM type software module. This module contains the operating software (firmware) of the drive and all the drive parameters are stored there. You can transfer your drive parameters and configuration to another drive controller by inserting an already configured software module to a newly acquired drive controller provided that both controllers have similar hardware configurations.

The HDS04.2-W200N-HA40-01-FW features a comprehensive range of interfaces to send and receive different kinds of signals. With this model, you will be able to design a robust, single, or multi-axis motion system with rotary and even linear motions. The Motor feedback connector (X4) provided on this drive controller can receive HSF or RSF   type feedback directly from the motor without any requirement of a plug-in module. For other types of motor encoders, you must replace your existing module with compatible encoder feedback modules. The X4 connector is a standard, 15-pin D-SUB type female connector. For connecting two or more drive controllers, you can use the connection wires which come standard with HDS04.2-W200N-HA40-01-FW.
