The HDS02.2-W040N-HS79-01-FW belongs to the DIAX04 Rexroth Indramat family of electric drives for AC motors. The “book” format of the drive allows the user to save space in the electric cabinet providing high performance for many applications.

The drive is meant to be connected to an HVR or HVE power supply system which will provide the power voltage for both the motor and the drive internal electronics. This HDS drive is provided with a command communication module that relies on the SERCOS communication protocol in order to receive commands and provide feedback to external devices or controllers.  The firmware and parameters of the drive are stored in the HSM software module. The module can simply be extracted from the drive and placed into another to successfully transfer the overall drive configuration and firmware. This feature is particularly useful if the replacement of a drive is needed.

This drive controller may supply a current up to 40 A and a continuous current of 20 A at 4 KHz or 15 A at 8 KHz. The typical power loss of the drive should be around 125 W when the drive is providing aforesaid continuous current.

The device should be installed in an environment with temperatures above 5 degrees Celsius and below 45 degrees Celsius. Even when the product is being stored or transported, its temperature shouldn’t exceed the range going from -30 degrees Celsius and 85 degrees Celsius.
