The HDS02.1-W040N-HS12-01-FW is a digital intelligent drive manufactured by Indramat. It is part of the DIAX04 family. Drives in this family consist of a complete power range of between 1 kilowatt to 100 kilowatts, user-friendly software features, a standardized digital drive Sercos interface, among other features that allow them to seamlessly be interfaced with industrial applications. The HDS02.1-W040N-HS12-01-FW uses configurable optional plug-in cards to enhance adaptability to a host of applications. The software module is part of the configurable optional plug-in cards that is used to store the drive’s operating parameters and firmware.

Being a DIAX04 servo drive, the HDS02.1-W040N-HS12-01-FW has turnover consideration, frictional torque compensation, axis error compensation among other additional firmware features. For optimal performance, the drive has to be operated in a closed control cabinet with an ambient operating temperature of between a minimum of +5 degrees Celsius and a maximum of +40 degrees Celsius.
