The HDD02.2-W040N is a servo drive that is used for executing a servo mechanism in industrial machines. The platform is used to control the speed, position, and torque in industrial motion control machinery. This drive is very flexible and allows the usage of AC drives in any required combination. The HDD02.2-W040N has a 40 A peak current (per axis) and operates on 40 A rated current. Because of its modular construction, a custom drive package can be prepared that has suitable modules and supports the requirements of a specific industry. The device can be operated at a 4 kHz frequency at which it has a 10/15 A continuous current. This servo drive is lightweight (weighs 8 kg) and can be easily transported to and installed at different locations. Besides its highly capable position control capabilities, the drive is also used to control the rotation of the motor’s main spindle drive.

Owing to this dual functionality, this drive package is frequently used with different models of Rexroth motors including (but not limited to) the 2AD, 1 MB, MHD, and MKD AC motors. Users can order a basic unit and customize it according to specific requirements by the use of suitable pug in modules. In standard configuration, the HDD unit comes with free slots in which plug-in modules can be inserted. Besides free slots, the basic unit consists of a configured controller, an AC motor, a motor feedback cable, and a contact guard. For communication, the ANALOG DAE02.1M and SERCOS DSS02.1M modules can be used in the system. The drive is used with the HSM software.
