It was designed to work with asynchronous motors from the IndraDrive range and can also be used with synchronous motors with a little more work on your path. This controller will support a variety of encoder systems with a supply voltage of between 5 and 12 V. among the list of encoder systems that will work with this controller are ones to include but not limited to an MSK, MSM, MS2N, 1Vpp sin-cos, HIPERFACE, EnDat 2.1, EnDat 2.2 or 5VTTL encoder with reference track.
This controller from the IndraDrive Cs series can be used to control asynchronous Rexroth IndraDrives without a motor encoder in open loop operation. It can also be used to control said drives in closed loop operation with a motor encoder. Asynchronous motors will find this relative measuring system sufficient for operation. The controller can also work with synchronous motors but there are restrictions to such operation that will be necessary to take into account. When selecting a measuring system for use with synchronous motors one must look at the driving range motor measuring system. This can be advantageous, relative or absolute. When a combination is possible you may find that commissioning the control unit will be even more complicated.
The best option for an easy install and commissioning is to use this controller with an asynchronous motor from Rexroth Bosch’s line of motors.
