The DDS02.2-W100-BA03-01-FW is an industrial drive controller produced by Rexroth Indramat to carry out accurate automation control in the industrial servo system. This controller operates by translating the low power command signals it receives from the central control into high power voltage and current that will generate a corresponding response from the industrial motor. Depending on the industrial application, this drive controller can regulate and properly coordinate the speed, position, and torque output of both synchronous and induction motors. For optimum operation, this industrial controller requires the connection of a regulated DC 24 power supply system; however, it should not be operated with the TVM 1.2 supply unit as the power supplied by this unit is not regulated.

The DDS02.2-W100-BA03-01-FW connects to the industrial motor through the power cable and the motor feedback cable. The power cable helps in the conduction of electrical energy between the controller and the industrial motor, while the motor feedback cable is used in the conduction of digital signals between the controller and all other parts of the industrial servo system. This controller features a special one-line display unit that the industrial operator can use to monitor the operation of the controller in real-time. During operational error, special error messages are displayed on the display unit; the meaning of these error messages is clearly stated in the documentation of the controller.

The DDS02.2-W100-BA03-01-FW industrial drive controller is designed according to the IP20 protection class; however, to ensure optimum protection, it should be installed into an additional control class that provides it with minimum protection according to the IP54 protection class.
