The DDS drive controllers are ultra-modern drive control units designed and manufactured by INDRAMAT. They consist of hardware and firmware set up in a modular configuration. The DDS drive controllers can be integrated with AC motors such as LAR, MKD, MDD, LSF motors to create rapid-response drives. This product is commonly used in robotics, handling machines, textile machines, tool machines, etc.

The DDS02.2-W050-BE12-01 is a Version 2 drive controller in the DDS02 series. It is designed by INDRAMAT with a current rating of 150A. Its cooling system is heat technology that uses airflow within the control cabinet. Hence, it can be installed easily and requires a large control cabinet. The control cabinet has a protection degree of IP 10 per DIN 40 050; hence, it cannot be penetrated by an external object with a diameter of 50mm or more. This drive control unit is connected to AC motors which are equipped with a digital servo feedback encoder or a resolver encoder. Its connection to AC motors is achieved using the INDRAMAT motor cable, which is 75m long. The INDRAMAT motor cable contains three lines for motor power connection and one line for protective conductor connection.

For communication with other units, the DDS02.2-W050-BE12-01 features a SERCOS interface. It is ideal for the evaluation of reference switches, travel range limit switches, and sensor inputs. This drive controller is best transported in a space with a temperature range of -30°C to +85°C. The ideal environmental conditions for its operation include a maximum temperature and absolute humidity of 40°C and 25g/m^3, respectively. In addition, it is classified as a product of protection class IP 20.
