The Bosch Rexroth DDS02.2-W015-BE32-00 is an industrial drive controller. It is designed to operate at 24 Volts DC input. The controller should only be used with power supplies that deliver regulated output. The DDS series to which the DDS02.2-W015-BE32-00 belongs is compatible with a wide range of Bosch Rexroth motors including 1MB inductance motors, 2AD inductance motors, LAR linear inductance motors and MDD synchronous motors. Typical applications for DDS controllers are textiles, robotics, handling machines and packaging machines. During normal operation the DDS02.2-W015-BE32-00 dissipates heat inside the control cabinet. The cool enters through an inlet at the bottom side and the heated air exits through an outlet at the top side. DDS controllers perform with rated output at temperatures between 0 and 45 degrees Celsius. Controllers such as the DDS02.2-W015-BE32-00 dissipate heat internally require use of large cabinets.

DDS controllers with heat sinks that dissipate heat outside the cabinet are also available. Rated current output of the DDS02.2-W015-BE32-00 is 15 Amps. Motor feedback methods supported by the controller include servo feedback and resolver feedback. The DDS02.2-W015-BE32-00 features a SERCOS command communication module. Function ID of the controller is 32 and the version of function ID is 00. The firmware for the controller is ordered separately. The firmware is stored on the software module that installs on slot U5 of the controller basic unit. Three slots are available on the basic unit that can accommodate a wide range of optional plug in modules. The optional plug in modules include ARCNET coupler card, incremental position interface, encoder modules, Gearwheel encoder interface and high-resolution position interface. For proper operation the DDS02.2-W015-BE32-00 controller should be installed by trained personnel.
