The Bosch Rexroth DDS02.2-A200-BA01-01-FW is a DDS02.2 series controller. It is developed by Bosch for commercial and industrial applications such as textiles, packaging machines and handling machines. The rated controller output is 200 Amps. The nominal rating is valid for 0 to 45 degrees Celsius temperature and maximum 1000 meters installation site elevation. The maximum temperature and elevation at which operation of the DDS02.2-A200-BA01-01-FW with derated data is permitted are 55 degrees Celsius and 5000 meters. The use of the device above specified temperature and altitude limits is not permitted as it derates output and can also lead to component malfunction. If both the temperature and altitude exceed recommended limits simultaneously then the load factors multiply.  The DDS02.2-A200-BA01-01-FW is fitted with a heat sink. The heat from the heat sink is dissipated outside the cabinet. This allows use of smaller cabinets.

Smaller cabinets reduce expenditure and total cost of ownership of the system. The DDS02.2-A200-BA01-01-FW supports resolver feedback and digital servo feedback. Therefore it can be used with motors with both types of feedback. Each DDS controller includes a command module. The command module on the DDS02.2-A200-BA01-01-FW is analog. Other command module options include SERCOS and Interbus-S. The command module installs in slot U1 of the controller basic unit. The drive functionality is dependent on the installed firmware. To ensure that the firmware complies with the required applications, Bosch requires that the firmware be ordered separately.  The drive firmware is located on the software module that installs on slot U5 of the basic unit. Three additional slots for plug in modules are available on the controller basic unit. Weight of the DDS02.2-A200-BA01-01-FW is approximately 11 kilograms.
