Product Description

The DDS drive controllers are intelligent drive control units produced by INDRAMAT. They are designed to function as a rapid response drive in AC motors such as MDD, MKD, LAR motor series, etc. These drive controllers are built modularly and can be configured to perform specific functions. A configured DDS drive controller consists of a drive controller (the basic unit), firmware, software modules, and plugins modules. Examples of its applications are present in robotics, handling machines, textile machinery, etc.

The DDS02.2-A100-BE32-01-FW is a 2nd version drive controller of the DDS02 series. It is equipped with digital servo feedback and resolver feedback. Meanwhile, it has a SERCOS interface that enables the drive’s operation using SERCOS compatible controls via a fiber optic cable. Also, the SERCOS interface can be used to evaluate reference switches, sensor inputs, and travel range limit switches. Due to the design of this unit, heat generated is directly transferred outside. Therefore, this drive controller can be mounted into small control cabinets without the need for a heat conductance system.

In addition, the DDS02.2-A100-BE32-01-FW has a blower unit that is divided into two parts. The electrical part is located in the control cabinet, while the heatsink of the power section and blower impeller is outside the control cabinet. According to EN 60529, this controller has a protection degree of IP 20; thus, it is protected against dust penetration but not water penetration. When en route, it is recommended to be in a dry space with a temperature range -30° C to +85° C.  For proper functionality and maintenance, an operating environment with a maximum temperature of 55° C is required.
