The modular design of the DDS drive system by Bosch Rexroth allows it to be customized for the creation of one compact drive package by the combination of AC servo and main drives. The drive package formed requires only one supply unit. The drive controllers in the DDS series are components of this series. They can be combined with the synchronous motors of the MDD and MKD series or the linear inductance motors of the LAR and LAF series to create rapid-response drives.

The DDS02.1-W150-DS41-01-FW is a DDS drive controller model designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It is a Version 1 drive controller component of the modular DDS drive system with a current rating of 150A. A DC bus voltage of 300V with a tolerance of ±15% is also required for its operation. It utilizes heat technology for the dissipation of heat. This cooling mechanism works with airflow within the control cabinet. Hence, the drive controller must be installed in a large control cabinet with air conditioning. One advantage of this cooling system is that it requires minimal installation and mounting effort.

With the SERCOS interface plugin module, the DDS02.1-W150-DS41-01-FW can be used with digital drives whose controls are compatible with the SERCOS interface via a fiber optic cable. It also aids the evaluation of reference switches, travel range limit switches, and sensor inputs. It does this by offering inputs for this evaluation. As a product of protection category IP 20 according to EN 60529, it cannot be damaged by the penetration of solid extrinsic objects over 12mm. Its control cabinet has an IP 10 protection rating and will not admit solid objects over 50mm diameter.
