The Bosch Rexroth DDS02.1-W150-DS37-00 is a digital drive. The functionality of the drive is determined by the features sets that are supported by the firmware.  Bosch provides different versions of the firmware that are optimized for different applications. For this reason the firmware has to be ordered separately. The DDS02.1-W150-DS37-00 has a modular architecture in terms of hardware also. The basic unit has five slots that allow installation of a range of optional modules. One slot is reserved for the software module that houses the firmware and drive operating parameters. One slot is reserved for a command communication module, which in the case of the DDS02.1-W150-DS37-00 is SERCOS. Three slots on the basic unit can be used for plug in modules to adapt the drive to customer requirements. The function ID of the DDS02.1-W150-DS37-00 is 37 and the version of the function ID is 00.

The DDS02.1-W150-DS37-00 is rated for 150 Amps output. The rated input voltage is 24 Volts DC. DDS drives are only compatible with Bosch DC power supplies that deliver regulated output. The specified ambient conditions for drive operation include 0 to 45 degrees Celsius temperature, maximum 95% relative air humidity and 0 to 1000 meters altitude. The output of the DDS02.1-W150-DS37-00 derates if it is used outside these specified conditions. The DDS02.1-W150-DS37-00 is a convection cooled device. The minimum spacing requirements recommended by Bosch for ensuring smooth air flow around the drive are: 80 millimeters on the top and bottom sides, 40 millimeters on the left and right sides and 22.5 millimeters on the rear of the unit The drive supports digital servo feedback and should be installed by qualified personnel.
