The Bosch Rexroth DDS02.1-W150-DS34-00 is a DDS series digital drive controller. It requires 24 Volts DC input. The drive can be used with DC supplies that provide regulated output. Any optional plug in modules that are installed on the drive draw additional power from the DC power supply.  The DDS02.1-W150-DS34-00 is widely used for industrial applications that include textile, printing machinery, packaging machinery and handling machines. The value of the voltage on the DC bus of the drive is 3000 Volts DC. During maintenance this DC voltage should be discharged completely. There is a serious risk of electric shock for working personnel if the DC bus voltages are not discharged prior to working on the drive. Under specified ambient conditions, the DDS02.1-W150-DS34-00 delivers 150 Amps output. These specified conditions include 0 to 45 degrees Celsius temperature and up to 1000 meters altitude.

The output of the DDS02.1-W150-DS34-00 derates to 120 Amps or 80% of rated output if the ambient temperature reaches 55 degrees Celsius. Similarly the drive output derates to 97.5 Amps or 65% of rated output if the altitude increases to 5000 meters above sea level. The derating factors have to be multiplied if both the temperature and altitude exceed specified ranges simultaneously. Operation of the DDS02.1-W150-DS34-00 above 55 degrees Celsius or 5000 meters altitude is not permitted. The DDS02.1-W150-DS34-00 cools via natural convection. The cool air enters at the bottom of the drive, and the heated air exits at the top side of the drive. The heat is dissipated inside the control cabinet. The DDS02.1-W150-DS34-00 supports digital servo feedback. Command communication module on the drive supports SERCOS. Firmware for the drive has to be ordered as a separate subposition.
