The DDS02.1-W100-DS13-00 is one of Bosch Rexroth’s DDS02.1 drive controllers. It implements heat technology for its cooling, a mechanism where the cooling airflow is within the control cabinet enclosing the device. This control cabinet has to be significant for effective heat management, but it is easy to mount and install. It is designated an IP 10 Ingress Protection rating according to DIN 40 050, indicating that it protects the device from damage due to the entry of solid objects whose diameter is larger than 50mm. The required DC bus voltage for the operation of the drive controller is 300V with a +/- 15% allowance, and its current rating is 100A.

With servo motors like the synchronous MDD and MKD motors and the LAR and LAF linear inductance motors, the DDS02.1-W100-DS13-00 can be used to create rapid-response automation systems. As part of a system, it communicates using a plugin SERCOS interface. With this module, the digital drives can be operated with controls compatible with the interface via a fiber optics cable. Reference switches, travel range limit switches, and sensor inputs can also be evaluated with the inputs supplied via the module.
