The Rexroth DDS02.1-W025-DS01-01 is a drive controller – basic unit. The design of the DDS drive controller is modular. Their modular design makes it possible to easily combine AC servo and main drives into one solid drive package which uses a singular supply unit. In combination with several electric automation motors, a primary unit drive controller has the ability to solve multiple automation controlling tasks if a specific option interface is installed onto its drive. The firmware handles the functions of the drive. Some uses of the DDS02.1-W025-DS01-01 include machines used in the printing, packaging, textile, and printing industries. The DDS02.1-W025-DS01-01 has a current rating of 25 Amperes. It is a Digital Servo Feedback (DSF) and a SERCOS interface communication module. This SERCOS interface makes it possible to operate the digital drive with SERCOS interface compatible controls via a fiber optic cable. It also offers inputs for evaluating reference switches, travel range limit switches, and sensor inputs. It has a U1 port found on the far left of the drive for command communication modules and U2, U3, and U4 for auxiliary modules. Its function i.d. and function i.d. version has been determined and documented by the manufacturers. The drive controller is cooled using air from inside the control cabinet and should be operated at ambient temperatures between 0 and 45 degrees Celsius. The housing of the DDS02.1-W025-DS01-01 is IP20 protected as per EN60529 (IEC529-1989).
