The Bosch DDS02.1-A150-DS01-01 is a DDS series modular drive controller. For ambient temperatures that lie between 0 and 45 degrees Celsius, the rated output of the controller is 150 Amps. The output of the controller falls to 80% of rated values at 55 degrees Celsius. Operation of the controller at ambient temperatures that exceed 55 degrees Celsius is not permitted by the manufacturer as it could lead to malfunction. It should be noted that the internal temperature of the controller is much higher than the ambient temperature. Compliance with the environmental conditions recommended by the manufacturer for controller operation helps to ensure that the controller operates at per specifications and at the same time does to reliably. The DDS02.1-A150-DS01-01 should also not be operated at altitudes above 1000 meters.

The protection rating of the DDS02.1-A150-DS01-01 controller housing is IP10. The housing provides protection against solid objects with 50 millimeter dimensions. However the housing does not provide any protection against liquid ingress. The controller should therefore be used indoors and installed inside a suitable control cabinet. Motor feedback supported on the DDS02.1-A150-DS01-01 is digital servo feedback. DDS controllers also support resolver feedback. The communications module installed on the DDS02.1-A150-DS01-01 is SERCOS. The controller can be used with MDD, LAC, and MKD motors. Typical industrial applications for the controller include handling machines, printing machines, packaging machines and textiles. The controller can be connected to all Indramat supplies that deliver a regulated output of 24 Volts DC. The DDS02.1-A150-DS01-01 controller should not be used with a TVM 1.2 supply unit as it is not regulated. Bosch recommends that installation and operation of the controller should only be carried out by trained personnel.
