The CSH control sections are high-performance units in the drive controllers in the IndraDrive drive system. They are well-suited for applications like machine tools and food-processing and packaging machines.

The CSH02.1B-CC-EC-ET-S4-EM-NN-FW is one of the compact single-axis series in the ADVANCED CSH series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It has an encoder emulation interface designed for emulating absolute value and incremental encoder signals. These signals are further evaluated by a control unit and are galvanically isolated from the circuit board. Some of the emulated encoder systems are the incremental encoder with signal level converter, the absolute encoder (SSI encoder), and the incremental encoder. It also supports the connection of encoders with 5V and 12V supply voltages. They are connected via its 15-pole multi-encoder interface. Examples of the encoders are the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with Hiperface, the MSK motor encoder, the MSM motor encoder, and the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1.

Connecting the CSH02.1B-CC-EC-ET-S4-EM-NN-FW to multiple Ethernet-field bus systems is made possible by its Multi-Ethernet communication modules. The bus systems include sercos III, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, and PROFINET IO. It also comes equipped with sercos III serving as a master, guaranteeing rapid information transfer within the system. This connection point complies with the IEEE 802.3 standard. Both communication modules also have LEDs with diagnostic features, providing information like existing connections and data transmission with colors and flashing patterns. The safety technology feature in the CSH model is Safe Motion. It also supports firmware, which should be ordered separately.
