Bosch Rexroth’s IndraDrive product line is a collection of state-of-the-art drive and motion control products designed to optimize efficiency. One of these products is the IndraDrive drive controller used to control electric motors and monitor their operation. It has two key components: the power section and the control section.

The CSH02.1B-CC-EC-ET-S4-EC-NN-FW is a model of the CSH control sections in the IndraDrive product series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. Its Multi-Ethernet and sercos III master communication modules facilitate its seamless interaction with other components of the drive system. With Multi-Ethernet, the drive controller can be integrated with various Ethernet field bus systems, including sercos III, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP or PROFINET IO. sercos III guarantees fast and reliable communication with high-speed and deterministic data exchange. It corresponds with the IEEE 802.3 standard and works with LEDs that indicate its operating status. With these LEDs, users can note information like the availability of networks and data transmission.

Some of the supported encoder systems for the CSH02.1B-CC-EC-ET-S4-EC-NN-FW are the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with reference track, the MSM motor encoder, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1, and the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with Hiperface. These encoders have supply voltages of 5V and 12V. They are connected to the control section via its two multi-encoder interfaces. Thanks to the Safe Motion module, application-safety functions like safely-monitored position, safe homing procedure, and safe direction can be realized. Since it is a product of category C3 according to IEC 61800‑3, it should be operated in industrial areas. Measures of interference suppression should be used when it is used in public low-voltage mains supplying residential areas.
