CSH01.3C-PB-ENS-MA1-CCD-L2-S-NN-FW is a Bosch Rexroth control unit. It plugs into a compatible power section: the combination is an IndraDrive motor controller. Another component available with the motor controller is a control panel that operators can use for programming and status monitoring. The fourth and last component is firmware, which operators must order separately. The firmware enables controller functions: operators must order the version that matches their requirements. To identify the installed firmware version, operators can refer to the firmware type plate that is attached to the control unit. A safety module on the control unit supports safe torque off, which is a safety function used in motor drives and industrial machinery to ensure the safe shutdown of torque production by the motor.

Safe torque off provides an additional layer of safety by ensuring that the motor cannot generate any torque, even if other control functions or power supplies are active.
