The CSH01.1C-SE-ENS-MA1-MD1-NN-S-NN-FW is a modular control section. It is a main component of IndraDrive motor controllers. Other controller components include a power  section, firmware and a control panel. The CSH01.1C-SE-ENS-MA1-MD1-NN-S-NN-FW is configurable from a standard control panel that does not support hot plug. The control panel includes a display and keypad that allows easy monitoring and configuration. Operators can select from several available firmware versions. The firmware versions support different feature sets and are optimized for different applications. Bosch provides a firmware type plate on the control section that allows easy identification of the installed version. A control section type plate attached to the device lists relevant specifications and allows convenient identification. A third type plate is attached to the power section on which the control section mounts.

The CSH01.1C-SE-ENS-MA1-MD1-NN-S-NN-FW is equipped with three factory installed functional modules and a master communication module. The master communication module supports SERCOS, a standard for high-speed serial communication. An encoder IndraDyn/Hiperface module is installed in slot 1. An analog I/O extension module is installed in slot 2. A digital I/O extension module is installed in slot 3. The slot on the CSH01.1C-SE-ENS-MA1-MD1-NN-S-NN-FW which is designated for safety modules is vacant. Operators can select from five safety modules depending on requirements. The control section and related equipment must only be used for applications that are approved by Bosch. Furthermore, they must only be used with accessories that are approved by Bosch. Use of Bosch industrial equipment is only permitted under specified operating conditions. Failure to operate the equipment under approved ambient conditions can cause equipment damage and personal injury.
