Control sections and power sections are the essential components of the Rexroth IndraDrive drive controller. The control sections are plugged into the power section and can be ordered separately or with the whole drive controller. Those in the CSH family are designed to meet high demands in performance and dynamics. Their typical applications are machine tools, packaging and food machines, and handling and mounting systems.

The CSH01.1C-S3-EN2-NNN-MEM-S2-S-NN-FW is a CSH control section model in the drive controllers of the Rexroth IndraDrive drive system by Bosch Rexroth. It features an encoder emulation interface and a standard encoder interface for encoders with a supply voltage of 5V. The encoder emulation interface emulates absolute value and incremental encoder signals, which are galvanically isolated from the circuit board and evaluated by a control unit. An external power supply is not required for this process. The supported encoders for the standard encoder interface include the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with reference track, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with the EnDat 2.1 interface and sense lines, and the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track.

A standard user panel on the CSH01.1C-S3-EN2-NNN-MEM-S2-S-NN-FW aids the commissioning of the control section. It has a single-line display and four robust keys and is not suited for hot plug. On its display, users can view operating states, commands, and error diagnoses while the keys are used to trigger simple commands. There is a Safe Module optional module on this control section for application-related safety functions like safe door locking, safe maximum speed, safe parking axis, and safe homing procedure. The maximum installation height for the drive controller with this control section is 1000m.
