The CSH01.1C-PL-ENS-NNN-MD2-NN-S-NN-FW is a modular control unit for IndraDrive controllers. Two out four slots on the control unit are occupied by plug in modules. An encoder IndraDyn module is installed in slot 1. This encoder module works with encoders with a 12 Volt supply voltage such as encoder system of IndraDyn S motors. The module has a 15-pin D-sub female connector designed for use with stranded wires having 0.25 to 0.5 mm² cross-section. A digital I/O extension with SSI encoder interface occupies slot 3 on the control unit. This module is a combined extension of digital I/O extension with 16 input and 16 outputs, and SSI encoder evaluation. The interface for the I/O extension is a 44-pin D-sub high-density female connector. The interface for the SSI interface is female RJ-12 connector with 6 poles.

Slots number 2 and 4 on the CSH01.1C-PL-ENS-NNN-MD2-NN-S-NN-FW are vacant. Operators can use these slots for two plug in modules of their choice. The control unit also features a parallel interface for master communication. A slot for an optional memory card is also available. A single integrated RS-232 serial interface is also available on the unit. Bosch develops different types of control units that have different number of slots and support different cycle times. The current control cycle times supported by the CSH01.1C-PL-ENS-NNN-MD2-NN-S-NN-FW are 62.5 and 125 microseconds. The velocity control cycle times supported by the CSH01.1C-PL-ENS-NNN-MD2-NN-S-NN-FW are 125 and 250 microseconds. The position control cycle times supported by the CSH01.1C-PL-ENS-NNN-MD2-NN-S-NN-FW are 250 and 500 microseconds. The CSH01.1C-PL-ENS-NNN-MD2-NN-S-NN-FW is a configurable control unit that operators can configure with a standard control panel. Firmware for the unit is ordered separately from the hardware.
