The CSH01.1C-PL-ENS-NNN-MD1-NN-S-NN-FW is an advanced control unit from Bosch Rexroth’s CSH product line. The control unit is a configurable device. It is compatible with one type of Bosch control panel: a standard control panel. The standard control panel has a single-line display and is not suited for hot plug, i.e. you must not plug it in nor disconnect it when the drive controller has been switched on. The standard control panel must have been plugged in when the drive controller is switched on so that it can be recognized. The control panel display shows operating states, command and error diagnoses and pending warnings. With the 4-button control panel keypad, the commissioning engineer or service technician, in addition to communication via the commissioning tool or NC control unit, can have extended diagnoses displayed at the drive controller and trigger simple commands.

The control panel has a slot-based architecture: four slots on the unit can accommodate a range of plug in modules. Slot 1 on the CSH01.1C-PL-ENS-NNN-MD1-NN-S-NN-FW is occupied by an encoder IndraDyn module. Slots 2 and 4 on the control unit are empty. Slot 3 on the CSH01.1C-PL-ENS-NNN-MD1-NN-S-NN-FW is occupied by a digital I/O extension module. This I/O module makes available 12 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs. The digital inputs and outputs operate at 24 Volts DC. The I/O extension module has a 25-pin interface. The recommended wire for the I/O extension module is stranded copper with 0.08 to 0.5 mm² diameter. Master communication interface on the CSH01.1C-PL-ENS-NNN-MD1-NN-S-NN-FW is a parallel interface.
