Designed for extensive functionality, the components of the Rexroth IndraDrive drive system have several excellent features. The drive controllers in the system are composed of control sections and power sections. These control sections differ based on their interfaces, performance, and configuration. The CSH control sections are in the ADVANCED control section range and are used in handling and mounting systems, printing and paper processing machines, and machine tools.

The CSH01.1C-PB-ENS-NNN-NNN-L2-S-XP-FW is a configurable control section in the CSH series by Bosch Rexroth. It is a high-performance control unit where PROFIBUS is the means of communication between the control section and other advanced control units. PROFIBUS allows the seamless cyclical exchange of specified and actual values, including status signals and diagnostic messages with the bus users. There is a standard encoder evaluation interface on this CSH control unit model, and it supports the connection of encoders with a 12V supply voltage. Some of these encoders are the encoder system of the IndraDyn S MSK motors, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1 interface, and the sin-cos encoder(1 Vpp) with Hiperface.

Safe Torque Off is a feature of the CSH01.1C-PB-ENS-NNN-NNN-L2-S-XP-FW that prevents the drive from starting unintentionally. It has a category 3 PL e/SIL 3 rating and is activated with two redundant 24V signals. A standard control panel featuring a single-line display is also present here, and it displays information like operating states, command and error diagnoses, and pending warnings. As a product of category C3 as per EN 61800-3, it is ideal for use in industrial areas only. When used in residential areas, the use of radio interference suppression devices should be adopted.
