The Bosch Rexroth CSH01.1C-PB-ENS-EN2-MD1-S1-S-NN-FW is a configurable digital control unit. It performs all processing functions for IndraDrive controllers.  A complete IndraDrive controller is comprised of the following components: control unit, power section, control panel and firmware. Bosch develops different types of control units that are suited to different types of user applications. The control units differ in terms of configurability, slots for optional modules and integrated I/Os. The CSH01.1C-PB-ENS-EN2-MD1-S1-S-NN-FW belongs to the category of advanced control units. Its basic unit has four slots for optional hardware modules. Modules installed on the CSH01.1C-PB-ENS-EN2-MD1-S1-S-NN-FW include a safety module that supports safety technology I/O, an encoder IndraDyn module, a digital I/O extension module and an encoder EnDat 2.1 module. The CSH01.1C-PB-ENS-EN2-MD1-S1-S-NN-FW also features a master communication module that supports Profibus. The control unit works with a standard control panel only.

A standard control panel has a digital display and keypad. It can be used to monitor and program the control unit. The MD1 or digital I/O extension module makes available 12 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs. These input and outputs are rated for 24 Volts DC. The ENS or encoder IndaDyn module allows use of the control unit with encoders that have a 12 Volts supply voltage. The EN2 or encoder EnDat 2.1 module enables use of the control unit with encoders that have a 5 Volts supply voltage. The safety module on the CSH01.1C-PB-ENS-EN2-MD1-S1-S-NN-FW allows multiple application-related safety functions such as safety related drive interlock, safety related reduced speed and safety related direction of motion. Firmware for the CSH01.1C-PB-ENS-EN2-MD1-S1-S-NN-FW needs to be ordered as a separate subposition. Only qualified personnel should be allowed to handle and operate the control unit.
