The Rexroth IndraDrive drive system is composed of components such as servo motors, frequency converters, and drive controllers. The highly-functional drive controllers in the system are used to control electrical motors and monitor their operation. The parts of a drive controller in the series are control sections and power sections. The innovative control sections in the CSH01 series are used in machine tools, printing and paper processing machines, handling and mounting systems, and packaging and food machines.

The CSH01.1C-PB-EN2-NNN-MEM-L1-S-NN-FW is a Bosch Rexroth control section in the CSH01 series of the ADVANCED control section range. Designed for operations that require high performance and dynamics, it is equipped with a standard encoder evaluation interface. The interface is for encoder systems with a supply voltage of 5V, such as the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with reference track, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1, and the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track. It also features a conventional PROFIBUS interface for information exchange with other high-level control systems.

An encoder emulation interface is integrated in the CSH01.1C-PB-EN2-NNN-MEM-L1-S-NN-FW. It emulates absolute value and incremental encoder signals, which are galvanically isolated from the circuit board for further evaluation by a control unit. The configurable control section has a starting lockout safety module that follows the stop category 0 requirement according to EN60204-1. Its standard control panel is not suited for hot plug and must be plugged in or disconnected only when the drive controller is not switched on. The panel has a single-line display and plays a crucial role in diagnostics and fault resolution. It is also used to set the drive address and analog outputs.
