Like other future-proof automation systems from Bosch Rexroth, the ultra-modern Rexroth IndraDrive drive system integrates different state-of-the-art control and drive components. The result of such a combination is an ultra-efficient drive system that can be used to solve a wide range of automation challenges. The drive controller of the Rexroth IndraDrive drive system has a power section and a control section. The CSH01 series is a family of the control sections in these drive controllers designed to meet high performance and dynamics demands.

The CSH01.1C-PB-EN2-NNN-MD2-L1-S-NN-FW is a configurable control section in the Bosch Rexroth ADVANCED control section range. It is a single-axis model where the master communication module is PROFIBUS, a fieldbus that has been used for different kinds of automation solutions through the years. The control section is also built with an encoder evaluation interface, specifically for encoder systems with a supply voltage of 5V. The supported encoder types are the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1 and with Sense lines, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with reference track, and the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track.

Another module on the CSH01.1C-PB-EN2-NNN-MD2-L1-S-NN-FW is the Digital I/O extension and SSI encoder evaluation interface. The Digital I/O extension has 16 inputs and 16 outputs which are grouped differently and with a separate supply voltage for each group. The SSI encoder evaluation function detects the absolute position for encoders with the SSI interface. Using the standard user panel, functions like setting the drive address, setting the analog outputs, and accessing the error memory can be carried out. Alternatively, the smart Rexroth IndraWorks software for PC can be used to commission it.
