The drive controllers of the Rexroth IndraDrive drive system consist of two components integrated into one - the control section and the power section. The control section is found plugged into the power section and can be mounted and dismounted easily, thanks to its compact size. The CSB01 series is a class of control sections in the drive system. The control sections in this series are single-axis types in the BASIC UNIVERSAL range. They are used for applications like machine tools, handling, and mounting systems, and food processing and packaging machines.

The CSB01.1C-CO-ENS-NNN-L2-S-NN-FW is a model of the control sections in drive controllers of the Rexroth IndraDrive drive system. It is a Design 1 version of the configurable single-axis control sections in the CSB01 series. It is equipped with a master communication module for the CANopen and DeviceNet options to communicate with high-level control systems. It also features the standard encoder evaluation interface for different kinds of encoder systems. These encoders have a supply voltage of 12V; they include the encoder system of the IndraDyn S MSK motor, the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with Hiperface, and the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with reference track.

A standard control panel on the CSB01.1C-CO-ENS-NNN-L2-S-NN-FW performs functions like setting the drive address, starting the basic load defaults procedure and establishing the position data reference. It has a single-line display and four robust keys with which these can be done. The control section also possesses the Safe Torque Off (STO) safety technology option and is suitable for industrial use only.
