CLM axis positioning controls are among Indramat's products which are basically produced to be used in equipment for motion control applications. These controls offer the users improved safety as well as reliability while at the same time reducing the downtime of vessels, overall weight of the vessels, workload of the operators, and the complexity of wiring. The CLM controls are also able to carry out rotary or linear operations for each of their axes. Most applications usually use the linear programming method.

Other applications may need special features that are allowed by the rotary method of programming. The linear method of programming permits every axis a maximum as well as minimum software over-travel limits. With the CLM axis positioning controls, it is easy to program motions in any input units type e.g. degrees, inches, etc. The rotary operation permits every axis a motion capability of 360 degrees. The actual position on the LP screen counts starting from zero degrees to the Ax08's set value and resets back to 0 degrees after every completed revolution of 360 degrees. Furthermore, the CLM controls are designed to ensure safety and integrity during operation using several inputs as well as outputs.
