The EK1101-0010 is an EtherCAT coupler with an RJ45 socket from Beckhoff Automation GmbH. The coupler helps in establishing a connection between the EtherCAT terminals and the EtherCAT device protocols. The product supports a coupler, a bus-end terminal and unlimited EtherCAT terminals on one of its stations. It helps in the conversion of passing telegrams from the Ethernet 100BASE-TX format to the E-bus signal format with minimum latency. This device allows the implementation of the HotConnect procedure. The unit helps in the transfer of data with the help of EtherCAT/Ethernet 22AWG shielded copper cables. The coupler is available with a one-year warranty period.

The coupler is equipped with three hexadecimal ID switches. These switches help in assigning a single ID to a specific group of EtherCAT components. This group can be positioned anywhere on the EtherCAT network. The product encompasses a compact terminal housing that features a signal LED. The polycarbonate housing features plain language slides as well as standard terminal block marking. The device features three spring power contacts. The connection wires have a stripping length between 8 and 9mm. The unit features an EMC resistance burst conforming to EN 61000-6-2 specifications.
