The CX9020-0100 is an embedded PC that combines hardware PLC and Industrial PC technologies. It is ideal for tasks that require Industrial PC computing capacity and characteristics.

The CX9020-0100 can be configured to match the task at hand by adding or omitting interfaces and units. The DIN rail mounting significantly reduces installation space and cost. It is an Ethernet control system that comes with an ARM Cortex 1 GHz CPU. It can automatically detect the bus system (K/E-bus) and switch independently to match the corresponding module. The CX9020-0100 comprises memory features such as MicroSD flash memory, 1 GB DDR3 RAM main memory, and 128 KB NOVRAM persistent memory. Some of the interfaces include two switched Ethernet RJ45, four USB interfaces, an optional interface, and one DVI-D.

The CX9020-0100 does not come with an operating system and lacks a TwinCAT runtime environment. Some of the optional interfaces compatible with the CX9020-0100 include an audio interface, EtherCAT slave, PROFINET RT, controller, and Ethernet/IP slave. The permissible ambient operating temperature is -25 to 60 degrees Celsius which enables it to be used in climatically demanding situations.
