With motion accessories gaining popularity worldwide, they have become a part of commercial and household products alike. Increasing acceptability of motion tools pushed manufacturers to produce servomotors with wide voltage range, such as PMA Series of rugged servomotors by Pacific Scientific. PMA43Q-10100-00 brushless servomotor is a fine example of cost-effective yet long-lasting drives. The servomotor features PC8x4 drive that can reach up to 3,000 RPM (rated) and its No-Load speed is 4,050 RPM. Like all PMA4 drives, PMA43Q-10100-00 offers 115mm square frame size and an AC winding of wide voltage range, 240-480 Volt. The brushless servomotor features a closed keyway shaft, a standard feedback resolver and a connector of 6PP, 12PSO. The motor has been tested at a rated winding temperature of 100 degree Celsius and was found to comply with CE requirements. The winding has been tailored for maximum efficiency by matching SC900 (240V AC) and SCE900 (480V AC) drives.  The medium-voltage motor operates smoothly by maintaining an ambient temperature below 40 degree Celsius, which is why it has been recommended for a wide range of commercial as well as household motion control applications.  

Apart from built-in features, PMA43Q-10100-00 offers customizability. Although, the holding brake is not present in the original model, a 0.6 kg optional brake with a static torque of 10 Newton-meter can be connected to the power connector. Similarly, there are options for connecting SinCos and commutating encoders with the feedback connector. For maximum efficiency, it is recommended that SC/SCE900 power cable should be used, to connect drive and motor. Same is true for feedback connector.
