The HDS03.1-W075N-HS32-01-FW drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth has a modular structure. This controller has a rated current of 75A. The product features a D-sub serial interface connector for communication with a PC using suitable software. The device also comprises two analog diagnostic outputs for test purposes. They have an output voltage of +/-10VDC and a current load capacity of 4mA. The starting lock of the unit prevents the connected motor from starting up accidentally when there is an error. The controller is connected to the motor using the manufacturer’s motor power cables that have a maximum length of 75m.

The control cabinet for the drive controller must be designed in accordance with EN 60204 / DIN VDE 0113 specifications. The product is fastened on to the mounting panel of the control cabinet using a mounting rail. This rail should be screwed in all the slots to hold it in position. The unit uses a SERCOS interface for its command communication.

The drive controller can operate at a temperature of up to 45°C without reduced data. The supply lines of the device must be isolated using a metal cable duct. The control and power lines should be at a minimum distance of 100mm from each other. The maximum length of the feedback connection and motor cables must not exceed 75m. The product has a function ID code of 32 as determined by the manufacturer. The unit has a protection category of IP 10 in accordance with DIN 40 050 specifications.
