The HDS02.2-W040N-HS74-02-FW is a sophisticated drive controller manufactured by Rexroth Indramat. The drive controller is designed to control the movement of servo motors in industrial servo systems. It regulates the speed, position, acceleration of the servo motor based on the signal it receives from the command center. The drive is flexible in its application; thus, it can be customized to function in a wide range of industrial applications such as printing machines, textile machines, paper processing machines, and lots more.

The HDS02.2-W040N-HS74-02-FW drive controller is supplied together with several configuration cards that control the drive's operation and helps it adapt to various industrial systems. The drive controller is designed to operate with a peak current of 40 Amperes per axis and a continuous current ranging from 15 to 20 Amperes. The drive controller features an efficient temperature control system; the housing contains numerous slits through which the built-in air blower can dissipate hot air away from the drive. The drive weighs about 6.5 kilograms.

The HDS02.2-W040N-HS74-02-FW drive controller connects to the servo motor and the command center through the fiber optic power cable and the motor feedback cable. The power cable helps the drive supply electrical energy to the servo motor. In contrast, the motor feedback cable helps the drive to exchange digital information with the servo motor.
