Product Description
Rexroth Indramat Bosch is renowned for producing high-precision motors and multifunctional drives meant for a wide range of applications. The German-American technology firm has introduced a wide variety of motor-specific drives, but the HDS and HDD drive series are different. Featuring purpose-built software as add-in modules, these multi-purpose drives can be used with rotatory and linear motors alike. The DIAX04 drives let the user combine different AC drives to form a package that runs on a single supply unit, which should be either a HVR or HVE drive.
The module HDS02.2-W040N-HS12-01-FW belongs to the HDS family of DIAX04 drives. Apart from the basic HDS02.2-W040N drive unit, it has many other features on offer. The 6.5 kilograms basic drive unit is located at the top of the configured drive controller while plug-in modules are attached to its empty slots (U1 to U4). The basic HDS drive unit has a current rating of 40 amperes while its power rating (on signal transfer) is 20 watts. Since it has a power dissipation of 125 watts, the basic drive features a built-in blower to keep the components from overheating. The drive controller is connected to the AC motor via a motor power cable and feedback cable.
The HDS02.2-W040N-HS12-01-FW has a SERCOS interface to accommodate the command and communication module. The HSM software supports the firmware and stores parameters of the drive. Among additional plug-in modules, a user can choose from a variety of options, including digital I/O cards, interface cards for numerous measuring systems, integrated control and special-purpose interface cards. The firmware is not included in the package, so it must be ordered separately. The drive controller offers IP10 protection and belongs to the insulation class C. The HDS02.2-W040N-HS12-01-FW can be shipped to any address worldwide with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
